“ONCE UPON A TIME,
in a classroom in Charmouth School, a magical
time portal opened … and some children were
swept away through time and space to a fictional
dimension!
When they returned, they had become – The Storyclub!
With mysterious new super-powers to make
up creative fiction, draw comic pictures and much, much more
- they could now access many parallel worlds.
They had become super-heroes with expanded
imaginations!
Many possible futures await them: as their stories travel
bravely through cyberspace, the children
are, even now, sharpening their pencils and preparing to write
some more…!

Storyclub
was invented by Lesley Moss (AKA Mrs Howlett!) in Summer 2006,
as a pilot Arts Project.
A year later, with a core group of enthusiastic members, it's
still going strong!
Storyclub is for people who enjoy making
up stories, writing and drawing: working in groups and on
solo projects. We engage in a range of activities designed
to evoke imagination, humour and drama, such as picking character
names out of a hat, filling up idea boxes, and becoming involved
in drama games and mask work. And don't forget the infamous
Storyclub parties!
We produce a Storyclub Magazine and most
of our writing is ‘flash fiction’ i.e. very short
pieces! But recently we embarked on longer individual stories
for the Mysterious Key Assignment.
Our
latest exciting project is our online magazine - created with
the help of Andy Starke - and available to read in cyberspace...
right here!
